Stolen Sacramento RT Bus Chase Ends in 4-Vehicle Crash at Auburn Blvd and Fulton Ave

Pursuit Through Sacramento Streets Ends in Chaos

A stolen Sacramento Regional Transit (SacRT) flex vehicle led officers on a chase that ended in a violent four-vehicle crash on October 21, 2025, at the intersection of Auburn Boulevard and Fulton Avenue. The chase began after a Sacramento Police Department officer spotted the stolen vehicle near El Camino Avenue and Howe Avenue.

Police attempted to stop the suspect, but the driver refused to pull over, sparking a pursuit through city streets. The chase reached the busy Auburn and Fulton intersection, where the suspect crashed into several vehicles. One car was struck with enough force to flip onto its side, leaving debris scattered across the roadway.

Suspect Detained with Non-Life-Threatening Injuries

Officers quickly moved in to detain the suspect following the crash. The individual was transported for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to face charges related to vehicle theft and evading police.

According to initial reports, no other injuries were reported among the drivers of the other vehicles involved, though several cars sustained heavy damage. Police closed the intersection for several hours as they investigated and cleared the scene.

The Sacramento Police Department confirmed that the stolen vehicle was part of SacRT’s Flex Fleet, which provides on-demand public transit services throughout the region. The vehicle will undergo inspection as part of the investigation.
